Popcorn Ceiling Texture Dry Mix, 13lbs 5 5 3 3
Perfect for my patchwork Worked perfectly. Hot 3 spots that I needed to patch my popcorn finish. Mixed it with water and put the finish on with a paint roller and it worked perfectly. February 23, 2015
This is great. Had a ceiling that got wet. Replaced the drywall on the bad area. Had about 45 square feet to finish. Used a Wallboard hopper and this product. All I can say is FANTASTIC. October 7, 2014
Now this actually works! As mentioned in my review of the 4099 spray texture (which was a waste of time), this stuff worked great in my Harbor Freight texture sprayer. Since I only had a small area to do, I mixed a quarter batch of this, according to the ratios on the box. It turned out perfectly and was easy to clean up. March 18, 2014

Surface should be sound, clean, dry and free of dust and oil. Temperature should be maintained at 55º (13º C) or higher throughout the finishing process.

Surface Preparation:

  • Prime new drywall surfaces using a good quality white drywall
  • Glossy or painted surfaces should be sanded to a dull finish.
  • Metal surfaces should be prepared with a rust-inhibitive priming compound and primed.
  • New concrete should be aged 60 days, top-coated with joint compound.

Mixing

Place 1 ¼ gallon (4.73 L) of water in a clean 5-gallon bucket. Slowly add texture and mix thoroughly (drill-type mixer recommended). Allow material to soak for 15 minutes. Remix texture before use, adding more water if thinning is desired. Test on scrap drywall to ensure that consistency is adequate for the type of sprayer being used.

Application: Before spraying, mask off floors, windows and doors to protect from overspray. Use spray equipment such as Homax Manual Spray Texture Gun or compressor operated Pneumatic II Texture Gun and 3 Liter Hopper. Most standard hopper-type applicators may be used. Apply to ceiling evening using slow, sweeping motion. Take care not to apply too heavy, or sagging may occur. When application is complete, ensure adequate ventilation by opening doors and windows to promote drying.

Clean Up: Use warm water to clean up any overspray or spills while texture is still wet. Wipe down or rinse equipment with wet cloth after use. Store dry excess material in a tightly closed bag in a dry place.

Coverage:

Light application - up to 250 sq. ft. per box (23 m²)

Heavy application - up to 150 sq. ft. per box (14 m²)

CAUTION: Contains Calcium Carbonate, Mica, Starch, Titanium Dioxide and Quartz. Use with adequate ventilation during mixing and spray application. Do not breathe dust or spray mist. Avoid contact with eyes and skin. Wear safety glasses or goggles and gloves. If properly used, a respirator may offer additional protection.
