Heat Shrink Tubing is included for free with every purchase of Cool Neon wire (about an inch per estimated solder joint), but sometimes you might need a little bit more. We have 4 different sizes available to suit your soldering needs:
3/16 Inch- (4.8mm) is recommended for Cool Neon wire solder joints.
1/8 Inch- (3.6mm) this diameter can be used by a skilled solderer who is not using Copper Foil Tape on the Standard (2.3mm) Cool Neon wire solder joint. Also, is used for multiple lead-wire gang solder joints, such as making "Y" or "W" connections.
3/32 Inch- (2.4mm) is recommended for connector wire solder joints.
3/8 Inch- (9.5mm) is recommended for multiple solder joint clusters ( we recommend adding hot melt glue to the joint) .
