In March of 2008 we sponsored our first Wine Tour of Tuscany in Italy. Fourteen of us visited Tuscan wineries and ate great food with good wine for 9 days. To see photos of our trip click on the Wine Tours tab at the top right of this page.

Prior to the Tuscany Tour, Gail and I also spent a week in Friuli in the northeast of Italy near Slovenia, home of Italy's best white wines and great food. Photos of Friuli are included at the Wine Tours website.

Tuscany is a region of Italy known for its landscapes, its artistic legacy, and as a place where wine making and love of food have a long and storied history. In March 2008, English Estate Winery sponsored an exclusive 9-day tour of Tuscany. We explored the region’s food and wine and enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere of traditional Italian country life. Plus, we ended our trip in Florence, the cultural and historic center of Italy.
