This bedroom fireplace had a nice mantel, but in the early 1900's the tiles were often drab and dirty-looking. The homeowner chose a bright yellow tile and waited 6 weeks for them to be hand-made. Meanwhile, we figured out how to get a gas line upstairs and into the fireplace, then we installed a Valor Visage open gas fireplace. The final touch was to install the tiles on the face and hearth. Finally, a cozy bedroom.
