Frequently Asked Questions
Q- What is the “special service” listing for Page Numbers? I thought the pages were already numbered.
A- The pages in the notebooks are sequentially numbered beginning at 1. There is a Book No. space on each numbered page as well. If you require a serial number on the spine or front cover of you notebook order, this same number can be machine stamped on each numbered page instead of needing to hand write it in.
Q- What is the advantage in having the page numbering done?
A- Some companies, once a book is full or a project completed, will have the contents microfilmed or otherwise archived. In such a circumstance the pages would need to be marked with a book number in order to identify the volume from which it was taken. This unique machine stamp insures your project can be more easily tracked or retrieved.
Q- Will adding this service cause my order to be delayed?
A- Most notebooks leave our factory within 2 to 3 days of receipt of your order. In many cases the books can also be page numbered within that time frame. Larger orders can take a little longer.
Q- Can I select the start number?
A- Absolutely! Numbering can begin with a single digit number or any number up to 5 digits.
Q- We have several divisions/projects requiring numbered notebooks. Is there a way to distinguish them?
A- Each division/project can start with a different series. (Example 1001, 5001 etc.) Another way to distinguish the books would be to add a letter prefix to the number. (example A 01 or Z 001) As with numbers alone, your letter prefix can be followed by up to 5 digits.
