Marine Wireless Bridges |

 |
| An MWB creates a "bridge" between your onboard network and an onshore network that is connected to the Internet. Our high-power MWB units allow you to connect to distant Wi-Fi access points that are beyond the range of standard Wi-Fi devices. |
| Getting online with one of our MWB units is as easy as plugging your computer into an Ethernet jack. Your computer doesn't have to have its own Wi-Fi adapter, or any other special hardware. The MWB does the work of connecting to a Wi-Fi network, and you connect to it with a standard Ethernet networking cable. The MWB supports Windows, Mac, Unix, and any other operating system that supports networking. |
Our MWB units offer several advantages over the built-in Wi-Fi in a laptop, USB Wi-Fi adapters, and other equipment designed for the home:
- More Transmit Power. Each of our MWB units is built using a powerful 400mW transmitter, giving it up to 32 times more range than most home Wi-Fi adapters.
- Waterproof Design. All of our products are designed for use in a marine environment. Transmitters are housed in NEMA rated waterproof enclosures, and come with heavy duty cables with waterproof connectors. Thanks to its built-in Power-over-Ethernet technology, a single network cable is the only connection required at the radio location.
- Advanced Networking Features. Unlike most Wi-Fi adapters, our Marine Wireless Bridges are stand-alone devices on the network, so each includes its own internal DHCP server and a Site Survey utility for detecting available wireless networks. They also support advanced encryption, including WEP64, WEP128, 802.1x, WPA-TKIP, WPA2-AES & WPA-Mixed.
- High-Speed Data Transfer. Our Marine Wireless Bridge systems are compatible with both 802.11b and 802.11g access points, so they will work almost anywhere Wi-Fi is available, and will deliver throughput of up to 54 megabits per second.
