| This POE injector connects a single MWB base unit to a 12V power system, without the use of an inverter. It includes a grounded surge suppressor to protect the MWB from voltage spikes, and a 2m (6') cord with a lighter style plug that can be removed for permanent connections.
A POE injector is essentially a hub between three cables: an electrical cable from a power source, a network cable connected to a computer or network switch, and the data/power cable running to an MWB. The injector is typically mounted in a navigation station, or an alternate location convenient to the onboard electrical system and data network. |
