The American Beverage Association (ABA) is the trade association representing the broad spectrum of companies that manufacture and distribute non-alcoholic beverages in the United States. As the strong national voice for hundres of beverage producers, distributors, franchise companies and supporting businesses, ABA works to bring about positive change that makes sense for our businesses and consumers.

We recognize that childhood obesity is a complex problem best addressed with comprehensive solutions. To combat this challenge, we must help our nation's children learn to make balanced choices and engage in physical activity. Schools can play a meaningful role in this effort. This is why ABA collaborated with the Alliance to develop School Beverage Guidelines. Recognizing schools' unique educational environment, these guidelines are part of a broader effort to teach children the importance of a balanced diet and exercise.
