Merry Kitchen offers birthday parties for kids! You pick your menu and kind of cake you would like to make in class. Ideas are offered according to age group, or you can browse the website to find a theme. All classes are hands on! Birthday parties generally run 2 hours long and kids take home the recipes and any leftovers. Birthday parties are $25/child with a minimum of 4 kids, comfortable maximum of 8, and absolute maximum of 10. The Merry Kitchen can also travel to your home for a birthday party or private event. Additional costs apply.
The Merry Kitchen also offers year round cooking classes for ages 3 and up! Ages 3-5 have an hour and a half classes and all other ages are 2 hour classes. As with birthday parties, kids get to take home the leftovers & recipes from class! Themes include, but not limited to, Harry Potter, Star Wars, Sushi, Fondue, Pizza Party, Traditional Tea Party, Dumplings, Asian Wraps, Build your own Taco Bar, etc. All classes are $30/child and there is a discount for groups of 3 or more that sign up for the same class!
During the summer months, cooking camps are offered for kids. Each camp is 4 half days in a row. Kids learn a taste of gardening along with cooking their entire meal for lunch! Past themes have included All Across America and Around the World.
The Merry Kitchen is represented at schools and festivals throughout the year. Julie Merry has taken the Merry Kitchen to Providence Montessori, Abernethy Elementary, Beverly Cleary Middle School (formerly Fernwood), the Children’s Museum, Green Sprouts Festival in N.
