Orion Scalability Engines enable you to scale the network management capabilities of Orion as your network grows and your needs change.
Scalability Engines include:
- Additional Polling Engine - the addition of another Polling Engine distributes polling load between multiple servers for large enterprise networks.
- Additional Web Server - adding an additional web server enables more users to access the Orion web portal without affecting performance.
- Orion Failover Engine – if a component fails on your primary Orion server, this engine automatically fails over to a remote server, which assumes the full identity of the Orion server and assumes all monitoring, alerting, reporting, and data collection responsibility
