Cassitilly will also be looking for a forever home... if you are interested in sharing your life with a cat that surely has only 8 lives left, please call Chris at The Cat Shoppe 615-297-7877

Connie, a freelance photographer, was walking to her car to leave the Castillion Springs area Weds after the Tornado when she heard a cat meowing. This was right in the heart of where the post office and houses had been blown away. She found a very wet kitty with it's back leg trapped under a tree unable to move. Connie was able to free the kitty, wrapped it in towels and took it to her car. See the photos... This amazing survivor even managed to purr when being put in a crate for the trip to the vets.

Chris from The Cat Shoppe graciously offered to let the kitty go to her vet, Elm Hill Vet Clinic, where it was discovered the kitty had a completely broken back foot. The good news was she was a spayed so surely she was someones pet... The next day with lots of searching, emails and phone calls, the cats owner was found in a local hospital. Unfortunately the woman has serious injuries including a broken back and her home is completely gone. Although very relieved the kitty is alive, she asked if we could please take "Cassitilly" and find her a new home as she is not sure when, if ever she would be in the position to take her back.

So sweet Cassitilly is now at the vets awaiting a very expensive foot operation by an orthopedic animal Dr, scheduled for Monday. Her vet bill is estimated to run as high as $1600 depending on what can actually be done when they open her up to do the surgery. If you wish to donate to Cassitilly's vet costs please send all donations to :
