Frequently Asked Questions
Linda Etheridge
silhouette.bmp Linda Etheridge started taking pictures with a Brownie camera when she was a young girl. She took thousands of pictures of her family and friends, sharing some and keeping the rest. After graduating from Auburn University with an art education degree, Linda taught art in elementary schools. Although she spent many years living in Atlanta, she returned to her hometown of Camden after her retirement.

Wanting to finish a roll of film one day, Linda quickly snapped shots of local historic buildings and was astounded at the pictures that were developed. The architectural details and landscape designs intrigued her, but the “uglies” were a dilemma. She taught herself how to use a computer program that allows her to remove such things as power poles and lines and insert copies of existing foliage in order to show off the simple beauty of a building. This tedious computer work is a perfect complement to her inquisitive nature and helps Linda restore old photos. With an “angel in her camera” Linda is always looking for a new challenge in her photography.
