Mr. Walter Brooks of Brooksville in Monroe County, Alabama is a self taught basket weaver who creates beautiful and functional white oak baskets. He calls this 11"tall and 8" wide basket a berry basket, because it is just right to hold over your arm as you collect berries. Baskets are signed and dated by this artisan, who is in his late 80s.
