microX accessory upgrade kit for existing M2 owners
Included in the microX upgrade kit is:
the microX image flip accessory,
a new high performance optical achromat designed specifically for the microX,
a riser block for adjusting your existing Redrock rod support system to the correct height,
and a newly designed reinforced hard mount kit that also provides a “lock down” once your microX is correctly configured.
Access to a step-by-step video tutorial on how to upgrade your system
Step rings are not included in the upgrade kit. You will need the appropriate step ring to connect to your video camera. If your video camera has a 72mm filter ring, the microX can use the 72-55mm step down ring that is part of your existing hard mount kit. If you do not have a hard mount kit or step ring, you you will need to add a step ring to your microX upgrade order. For Panasonic HVX owners, we have a special 82-55mm step-down ring available as alternate option.
We recommend the microX upgrade for all standard definition (SD) cameras, and high definition (HD) cameras with a few exceptions. While some users have reported good results with the Sony HDV cameras (such as the Z1, Z7, FX1, and EX1), we do not recommend the microX for these cameras at this time. Sony cameras with a filter ring smaller than 72mm (such as the Sony V1, Sony A1, and Sony HC- series cameras) work with the microX.
