Ian was raised in Northern Ireland and immigrated to Canada in 1981. He founded 1v1 Soccer in 2000 and is motivated by the desire to provide young Canadian players with the same playing experiences provided by leading soccer nations. In 2003, Ian established a working relationship with Crewe Alexandra FC in England and shares Crewe Alexandra’s vision of long-term development through facilitating a positive learning environment dedicated to high standards of excellence
Ian is a former OSA Provincial team coach was a member of a working group that investigated the feasibility of establishing a new professional soccer league in Canada. Ian is a UEFA B license coach and a member of the English Football Association and National Soccer Association of America.
