The Tommy Building is a high end car wash facility which incorporates efficient design and cost effective construction. Based on our 4 years of car washing experience we have implemented features that both improve operations and reduce investment cost. The Tommy Building focuses investment on increased architectural appeal which produces a higher capture rate on the street and more wow factor throughout the wash process experience. Just a small percentage increase in capture rate can dramatically increase your annual net income. At the same time we have eliminated wasted investment and mistakes that can be costly for many new investors and even large car wash chains.
We have implemented features like reverse weeping windows, automated room ventilation, tower features, reduced run electrical and plumbing through organized design, and operational features which reduce labor. A typical facility can be operated with as little as one employee due to Tommy's trademarked flight deck design. This system centralizes the operation of the facility with specific windows, doors and layout. We typically operate with a self-loading system with limited assistance needed. By some estimates the efficient desigh of the Tommy Building can save a much as $100,000 initially, and as much as 20% or more ongoing on your cost of doing business.
Roof System: The roof system is made with acrylic material which is an upgrade from polycarbonate products used in other facilities. The clear roof allows the facility to save energy instead of running lights during the day, and allows heat gain in the summer time which improves the wash process. The light transition from inside to outside is minimal therefore we can improve the loading and processing speed by reducing customer hesitation during the transition in and out.
Paint System: The paint system is a three part marine grade coating.
Electrical and Plumbing: Coordinate with your General Contractor to get estimates on your electrical and plumbing work.
Infill Options: You can work with your architect to decide on the best infill options for both sidewalls and end walls. We recommend a combination of stone and glass. Glass is a relatively cheap wall covering and can be easily added while brick adds dimension and an added dynamic look similar to many common franchises.
Canopies: Your building will include a pay station canopy system to cover your point of sale lanes
