"Understanding Addiction and Drugs of Abuse" was presented by Dr.
Wilkie A. Wilson, Ph.D. (Duke University Medical Center, Durham, NC) at
the 2009 Civil Commitment Conference. This session focuses on the
chemistry of addiction—presented in layperson's terms—as well as
symptoms and treatment.
IDS employees are public, appellate, and capital defenders, special
counsel, and IDS staff who are state employees in one of those
