Hangs or crashes when running WinCruise

INTRODUCTION

This article will guide you through hangs or crashes when running WinCruise.

SUMMARY

The following are a few problems you might encounter when running WinCruise. If the actions listed here do not solve your problem, contact WinCruise Support.

Problem:

If Windows hangs or crashes when attempting to run WinCruise, your printer may be incompatible with WinCruise

Action:

  1. From the Windows Taskbar, choose START -> SETTINGS -> PRINTERS.
  2. Delete any printers listed that you know you do not have or use.
  3. Give the default printer a shorter name - less than eight characters.  Example: If the printer is named HP Deskjet Series 600 Color Printer, rename it to HP600.
  4. Start WinCruise, go to SCREENS and BOOKINGS.  Select FILE -> PRINT and hit RESET DEFAULTS button.
  5. If the problem occurs again, restart or press the Reset button on your computer. Delete another printer, and test WinCruise again.
