Conecolor® encapsulated pigment inks
ConeColor inks are color-managed during formulation. Rather than try and match the proprietary pigments of Epson Ultrachrome family inks, we match their intended results using the Epson RGB printer driver and Epson recommended color workflow and ICC profiles. This is a long formulation process, but it has proven to work where other formulators have failed. ConeColor has the best 3rd party color match. While we match Epson color using their own ICC profiles, we also provide free ICC libraries for 3rd party papers covering most popular media.
Piezography® Highest quality black & white
Piezography is a system of up to seven shades of black carbon based ink that replace the complete color ink set in supported Epson printers. The inks are controlled by using the QuadTone RIPand proprietary Piezography "media profiles". With four additional light blacks, Piezography's tens of thousands of gray levels produce greater image fidelity, better shadow and highlight detail, smoother grayscale rendition, and higher printed resolution than Epson's ABW. Piezography Carbon K7 beats all other monochromatic inks for longevity according to the strict longevity tests at Aardenburg.
JonCone Studio® papers No Optical brighteners
JonCone Studio papers are highest standard non-OBA papers for fine art and photographic inkjet printing. A non-OBA paper is the only choice for archival quality printing where it is desired that the paper white not fade yellow. Optical brighteners fade. JonCone Studio Papers are free of optical brighteners. Type 5 baryta has a smooth surface texture that is actually reminiscent of photographic darkroom paper. Type 2 for fine art matte printmaking features the look and feel, color gamut, and dMax of Hahnemuhle Photo Rag...but without the optical brightners.
