This workshop explores the possibilities of printing Black & White photography. Learn how to achieve superior black & white prints on EPSON printers using Piezography™BW ICC, iQuads™, and large format with PiezographyBW ICC profiles as well as ErgoSoft StudioPrint RIP with PiezoTone inks. Participants will learn to produce a calibrated system as well as methods for establishing the dynamic range of new materials and a methodology for expanding tone to its maximum limit. Scanning and other factors relevant to the process are explored using desktop and drum scanners. Explore all of the ink sets as well as using multiple ink sets to affect split-toning.

Each attendee has their own computer workstation. The network for pinting includes many Piezography medium and large format printers with several PiezoTone and K7 ink choices. Additionally there are medium and large format EPSON printers installed with ConeColor inks. Master Approaches to Piezography

$1,500 - 4 day course – Teusday through Friday. Classes are 9a – 5p at Cone Editions Studio in East Topsham, VT – limited to a maximum of 8 and a minimum of 4.

Master Classes are designed around each participant. You need prior experience in order to get the most out of a Master Class.
