Calibrating a monitor is the first step in producing a color managed system and workflow. We sell the Eizo CG display because it is a professional calibrator display that is reasonably priced. Ordinary displays are "calibrated" through the computer's video board, by adjusting the video board which always results in less than 3x8bit color. Eizo calibrator displays have a built-in 3x14bit color engine that produces billions of colors more than a video board can. The Eizo color engine is calibrated perfectly, allowing the computer's video board to display full 3x8bit color.


We sell two calibrators which can be used as the instrument to measure the Eizo during it's hardware calibration with the display's included Color Navigator software. Both are superb at measuring display illumination so either is just as good as the other for being the instrument used with the Eizo. The ColorMunki also makes excellent color profiles for inkjet printers that are used with the OEM printer driver. The EyeOne is compatible with ErgoSoft StudioPrint RIP as well as QuadTone RIP. It makes even better color printer profiles.
