JonCone Studio Paper Type 5

A warm white, glossy, ultra-smooth baryta paper surface made from 100% rag (cotton) coated on one side with an excellent inkjet receptor coating. The paper is both acid-free and lignin-free for exceptional long life. The weight of this sheet is 290 gsm making it a moderate weight paper that can easily be passed through desktop printers, but substantial enough to not feel "lightweight."

This sheet is reminiscent of an air-dried fiber base paper traditionally used in the darkroom. It offers amazing dMax when used with Piezography MPS Glossy inks (requires use of GO to eliminate bronzing.) Selenium inks are absolutely perfect for this paper - producing a what appears to be a lightly toned warm paper. Piezography Neutral K7 and Sepia K7 are not compatible with this surface.

Very effective with ConeColor inks as well as most brands of dye and pigment inks. For use with all kinds of inkjet printers.

Type 5 is very similar to Crane Silver Rag paper - but prints smoother and blacker with Piezography glossy compatible inks.
