1:24:680 and that made my weekend perfect!!!

June 2 -3 results

GTL 8th
LW Grand Prix 10th
LW Superbike 6th
UltraLite Superbike 4th

June 1
Once again I did not make it to Friday practice on time! But I did register and got the bikes through tech inspection. So I don’t have to rush tomorrow.

Sat. June 2

Practice: B bike :
Still getting used to the narrow power band. It is hot and humid and I’m not happy with the way the bike feels.

GTL: B bike  8th place
New DOT tires feel good and I’m back down to 1:26’s, but the bike feels slow and the power band is very narrow so I find my self waiting for the bike to pick up power exiting most corners.

LWGP: B bike 10th place
Changes: rejet main’s from 270/260 to 280/270

Bad start and the same power band problem despite rejetting the  main’s could not keep me from having a good race with the Ducati 750 of Joel Taylor. The race was red flaged and cut short at the 4th lap.

Sun. June 3

Practice: A bike
Cooler temp. and much dryer. the bike runs good I think the Tyga  exhaust gives a better power band. Slick Tiers acting good , I love new rubber !!!

LWSB: B bike 6th place
Bike was very hard to start before the race but thanks to Jon Cone and Travis Beaudoin’s dad we got it started and I made the pre grid. The bike ran good. The tires felt good all the way to the flag and it showed. Lap times are down to 1:25s, but once I passed the finish line the motor locked up and the rear started sliding. I grabbed the clutch and coast it out.

ULSB: A bike 4th place
After blowing the B bike’s motor and being unsure about if it’s going to rain or not, we had to haul ass and mount the DOT’s from the B bike onto the A bike (thank god for my “team mates”). The bike felt better with 13/44 gearing and I was very comfortable and focused on my line more then the set up. After not a bad start that put me in the middle of the pack I have passed Tony (#433) and Joel (#719) and rode the rest of the race alone. The result was 1:24:680 and that made my weekend perfect!!!
