This Piezography ink set was specially blended by Jon Cone for split-tones that displays crisp neutral highlights which meld into selenium which melds into sepia shadows with a clear black. The end result of this split-toning is to look very much like traditional platinum/palladium. The split toning adds a natural contrast to the ink. Cone originally released this ink to commemorate the printmaking process he developed for the Ashes and Snow exhibitions for photographer, Gregory Colbert. The blending of Piezography inks is possible when a shade of one tone is mixed with the same shade of another tone. All Piezography ink sets use the same QTR curves. While this may be the most beautiful ink set that Piezography has released, it also serves as an example to what can be done by mixing the shades of ink together.
