The Piezography Neutral inkset is the mainstay for my intro photo class. I have been using it in refillable carts in desktop 5 Epsons in K6 and K7 configurations since it was introduced. There have been no clogging issues, that were not solved by a simple head cleaning. students find the process easy to to master. The K6/K7 curves provided for QTR work well. Soft proofing with a 2.2 Gamma on a calibrated monitor will provide a reasonable representation of densities. The neutral inkset is very consistent on matte papers with a rich black.

I love the Neutral K7 inks for their versatility and would recommend them to anyone starting out with Piezography. Printing on Photo Rag yields a truly neutral grayscale print and is the perfect starting point in getting your feet wet with Piezography. What I love about the neutral inks is the ability to fine tune the final print tonality and surface characteristics by using different papers. For my current exhibition prints I am using the Neutral K7 inks on Museum Etching, which produces a slightly warm toned image with a wonderfully soft textured surface. As with all Piezography K7 inks, the ink profiles provide a beautifully smooth tonal range with exceptional shadow detail and crisp highlights. Whether you are just getting started with monochromatic printing or are a seasoned veteran, you can't go wrong choosing Neutral K7.

Piezography K7 Neutral ink is available in seven shades. It is a matte paper only formulation because it does not contain even a trace of dye. Piezography Neutral inks are achromatic (without color) and are formulated to appear neutral to the human eye on paper which has the tone of Photo Rag and Innova Photo Cotton Smooth. The ink will appear warmer or cooler if the user chooses papers which are warmer or cooler than these standards.
Piezography Neutral inks have virtually zero metamerism and fade. This is a superior quality ink designed for highest standard black & white printing. The best results are gained by using Piezography made profiles for QuadTone RIP.

This kit will fit the Epson printer and can be used to repair or enhance the printer so that it produces the highest standard of black & white printing. This kit is compatible with the Epson 2880 printer. Piezography Neutral inks are compatible with all non-baryta and non-glossy papers. They are intended for use with Piezography K6 and K7 profiles when used with QuadTone RIP according to the Piezography QuickStart Manual for QTR which can be found in our technical support section.
