Here is an innovative bulk ink feed system for the Epson Photo R2400 which works by continuously feeding the printing head with ink from large reservoirs which stand beside the printer. As the ink levels run down in the reservoirs, they are simply topped off from 4 ounce refill bottles – no more time wasted changing cartridges and printing nozzle checks. The unique design of this R2400 bulk ink system has nine reservoirs and cartridges so that both photo and matte black inks can be used on the same system. The spare black cartridge is stored on top of the other cartridges. Changing blacks is as simple as swapping the black cartridges and takes a few minutes - just like using original cartridges.
This bulk ink feed systems is built in the USA and use only the best components – space saving modular reservoirs that can be topped up while printing, spongeless bulk ink cartridges with built-in filters and pressure dampers, auto reset chips, and laboratory standard feed tubing. Installation couldn't be simpler. Full instructions are included and installation, which takes about 30 minutes on average, does not require any permanent modification to the printer.
This system ships with the new ConeColor inks for EPSON Ultrachrome K3 printers. These inks are made of 100% pure pigment (without the 3% trace dyes found in the OEM inks.) The color space has been designed to fit directly into EPSON color workflow. So if you are used to EPSON inks and EPSON papers, you can simply swap out the EPSON inks for ConeColor and use the same settings and profiles you are used to.
EPSON inks average $12.95 street price for 14ml of useable ink which is .92¢ per ml. ConeColor inks cost only $28 for 120ml of ink which is just .23¢ per ml. With our comparable inks costing only 25% of the OEM, this system will pay for itself in short time. If you are a light printer and use a set of original cartridges every month, your ink costs have been 9 x 12 = 72 cartridges @ $12.95 for a total of $932 a year. A set of ConeColor 4oz bottles yields 76 cartridges and costs only $252.00. If you are a typical printer who uses a set of cartridges every week, your costs for EPSON inks will be more than $6,000 and the equivalent in Cone Color will be $1,512.
