Piezography MPS Glossy inks (Selenium and Warm Neutral) require the use of MPS Black shade 1 and Piezography Gloss Overprint.

The use of a Gloss Overprint completely eliminates bronzing and any trace of gloss differential. When properly applied it is impossible to tell where the ink ends and the paper begins.

It can also be used to significantly improve Canon, Epson and HP glossy black & white and color prints.

For supported printers in the Piezography family we can provide a Gloss Overprint curve that can be used in single channels or in situations in which an entire printer is devoted to Piezography Gloss Overprint.

Piezography Gloss Overprint is compatible with Piezography Warm Neutral and Piezography Selenium inks when those inks are used with the Piezography MPS shade 1 black option. Piezography Gloss Overprint is intended to be used as a second printing over these ink systems to equalize the gloss and remove all bronzing. They are intended for use with Piezography K6 and K7 GO profiles when used with QuadTone RIP according to the Piezography QuickStart Manual for QTR which can be found in our technical support section. Piezography Gloss Overprint can also be used as an overprint on Epson Ultrachrome inks on Glossy papers to remove bronzing and to equalize the gloss differential. The same success is possible over HP glossy pigment ink prints.
