Piezography Carbon K7 inks - Set of 8- 4oz bottles
Product Name: Piezography Carbon K7 inks - Set of 8- 4oz bottles
Item SKU#: PZK7-SEP-4OZ-KIT8
Brief Description: Piezography Carbon K7 inks for Epson R800/R1800 & 2400 - Set of 7 inks in 4oz bottles and one additional 4 oz bottle PiezoFlush fluid to act as an "eight" position.
This is a drop dead gorgeous set of inks that gets "wow" reactions from professional photographers I've shown prints to at ICP, for example. It just has a subtle transition of the tones that works well with almost all of my street and fine art work, in particular the latter. Next going to print a Cuba portfolio with this for example, to show at a local gallery.
I've never had a problem with clogging with this ink even letting it sit for a couple of weeks unused. I also follow Jon's recommendations on using flush cartridges when I don't print for long periods as that has proven easy to do and works perfectly for restarting the printers. Now use it in a 4800 as well.
Couldn't recommend it more highly to anyone who started with silver gelatin and wants to recapture the magic look of lucious black and white prints.

The recent very strict accelerated tests (Aardenburg) of the Cone Piezography Carbon K7 shows it to be leading all the other monochrome pigment ink sets on the market today. Not only are they not showing any signs of premature fade, but they are not showing any drift in the print color either. They are the closest thing there is to a platinum-palladum print in the digital world of the pigment inkjet process. No other inkset has so many subtle light values to work with. Jon has created a wide variety of hue sets of Piezography carbon based inks, but the one that I keep coming back to, for both my clients and my personal work is the K7 100% Carbon set. It was formally known as Carbon Sepia. I believe that recently Jon realized that the designation ÒsepiaÓ was a psychologically limiting description in that these ultra-subtle warm carbon dilutions are in no way related to the bright red-yellow color that one may by habit associate with sepia toning and the like from our darkroom days, thus the updating of the name recently to simply K7 Carbon.

I think there is nothing more beautiful on this planet for bw printing than working with these inks! Happy printing!
Formally known as Sepia K7. I believe that designation ÒsepiaÓ was a psychologically limiting description in that these ultra-subtle warm carbon dilutions are in no way related to the bright red-yellow color that one may by habit associate with sepia toning and the like from darkroom days, thus the updating of the name recently to simply K7 Carbon. The recent very strict Aardenberg accelerated tests of the Piezography Carbon (Sepia) K7 shows it to be leading all the other monochrome pigment ink sets on the market today. Not only are they not showing any signs of premature fade, but they are not showing any drift in the print color either. They are the closest thing there is to a platinum-palladum print in the digital world of the pigment inkjet process. No other inkset has so many subtle light values to work with. Due to the incredibly small pigment particles, Piezography Carbon inks are also susceptible to paper whites which can be used to subtly move the inks warmer or cooler depending upon the tone of the white. Like all Piezography and ConeColor inks, this is an encapsulated pigment formulation designed to insulate the static charge of the pigment particle which prevents clogging. Only Epson and HP employ similar technology. This is the perfect black & white ink set.
You get eight bottles of ink. Piezography shade 1 black, Carbon shades 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 & 7. One bottle of PiezoFlush.
Piezography Carbon inks are compatible with all non-baryta and non-glossy papers. They are intended for use with Piezography K6 and K7 profiles when used with QuadTone RIP according to the Piezography QuickStart Manual for QTR which can be found in our technical support section.
