| Traditional date stamps are rubber dies mounted to a die plate for use with a separate stamp pad. |

| Self-Inking
|

| Self-inking daters are rubber dies, mounted to a rotating die plate which eliminates the need for an external stamp pad. |

| Pre-Inked
|
| |
| Pre-inked daters give the most detailed impressions, and actually contain the ink inside the letters, typically lasting 3 times as long as self-inking daters. |
