I am having trouble recording my voice!
In the program, make sure that you hold down the record button with your mouse, speak into the microphone, then depress the mouse button after you are finished.
Check your volume control to see if anything is turned down or muted.
Also, go to options, and then properties. select recording and click every checkbox. click ok. make sure that your mic balance is selected. There is a chance your voice is not recording. In the program, if you do not see waveforms in your box, it has not recorded properly, or the volume level is too low.
Also, is it possible to change the position of the mic when you speak? Unfortunately, there is no Options menu for an internal volume in the program itself. It depends solely on the level of the volume of the sound in the sound card.
If your recordings are very faint, is your system configured to optimize sound for recording? Choose Start / Programs / Accessories / Entertainment / Volume Control. When the Volume Control appears, choose Options / Properties. On the Properties screen, where it says Adjust volume for, choose Recording, then click OK. On the Recording Control screen, click the Advanced button below Microphone Balance. On the Advanced Controls screen, where it says "Other Controls", check the box for 1 Mic 20dB Gain Control.
Do you have two sound devices enabled?
WINDOWS XP:
1) Right click on My Computer on Desktop
2) Go to Manage
3) In the Computer Management window, go to Device Manager
4) Go to Sound Video and Game Controllers 5) You should have devices Audio Codecs, Legacy Audio Drivers, Legacy Video Capture Devices, Media Control Devices, Video Codecs, and one other: i.e. SoundMax Digital Audio. If you have i.e. SoundMax and one other:
--Double click on the other one, and under Device Usage, select DISABLE instead of ENABLE, click ok.
BYKI depends on your onboard soundcard. If there is any other sound card you have enabled and you aren't using it, disable it.
