Does this happen before the spinning globe video appears?
In that same window, locate the file demo1.avi and delete it (see below). This is the spinning globe you see when opening the program. After you delete this, run the program, wait a few seconds, and the screen should appear.

Does this happen after the spinning globe video appears?
Uninstall and reinstall Quicktime from Apple's website. Also, try playing another Quicktime video to see if that plays.
Alternatively, this error may occur if you are operating more than one version of LanguageNow!/Languages of the World. It may also occur if you uninstalled it and reinstalled it several times.
In more recent news, computers that use a NVIDIA Chipset and SATA hard drive on Windows Vista will have video issues that makes programs like LanguageNow not work properly. In this case, download a SATA Driver update from Nvidia (www.nvidia.com). This is also available via Windows Update as an optional update.

Click START

Click My Computer

Double click on the (Local Disk) C: drive
If you get a warning saying the files are hidden, select to show the files.

Double click Program Files
If you get a warning saying the files are hidden, select to show the files.
Double click Transparent (older versions of LanguageNow! have a 'TLI' folder)

Double click LanguageNow! / Languages Of the World.

Double click the file REGISTER.BAT (file shown in picture below). You may get one or more warnings telling you that a certain .dll file succeeded.
Click OK on the window(s).

Restart the LanguageNow! / Languages of the World program.
