PACKAGING: 1 gallon, 1 quart
SURFACE PREPARATION: Proper surface preparation is essential to achieve a professional finish. Surface should be clean, dry and free from wax, grease, etc. If the old surface is cracked, remove completely by sanding; rinse with paint thinner and wipe clean.
NEW OR NEWLY SANDED FLOORS: Make several passes with the sandpaper, increasing paper fineness with each pass. The final pass before application of ABSCO QUICK DRYING POLYURETHANE PRIMER/SANDING SEALER should be with #100 grit screen or sandpaper. Remove dust completely by sweeping, vacuuming and wiping the floor with dust free cotton cloth dampened with mineral spirits.
PREVIOUSLY SEALED OR FINISHED WOOD FLOORS: All wax, grease, soaps, oil and soil must be removed thoroughly Buff the floor with #100 screen disc Remove all dust completely as described above.
EQUIPMENT: Apply ABSCO QUICK DRYING POLYURETHANE PRIMER/SANDING SEALER with a lambswool or nylon applicator, or good quality brush.
THINNING INSTRUCTIONS: ABSCO QUICK DRYING POLYURETHANE PRIMER/ SANDING SEALER is ready to use from the can, no thinning necessary.
DIRECTIONS: Apply ABSCO QUICK DRYING POLYURETHANE PRIMER/SANDING SEALER with the grain of the wood. Apply when product and wood surface are at approximately 60o F.
DRYING TIME: Allow 1 hour dry time on new wood, up to two hours on succeeding coats. Sand lightly between coats if within 24 hours, sand thoroughly if longer than 24 hours between coats.
CURING TIME: ABSCO QUICK DRYING POLYURETHANE PRIMER/SANDING SEALER will be dry in 60-90 minutes, allow overnight drying for full use.
COVERAGE: Approximately 600-650 square feet per gallon, depending upon surface preparation.
CLEAN-UP: Use mineral spirits or paint thinner for cleaning tools.
