COVERAGE: Approx. 500-600 sq. feet per gallon on raw wood
Approx. 600-700 sq. feet per gallon on finish coats
APPLICATION: Apply Absolute Wood Finish with the grain of the wood. Screen the floors with a #150 grit screen disc or #180 grit sandpaper strip on maroon pad between coats. Remember to vacuum and tack thoroughly after screening to remove all dust.
THINNING INSTRUCTIONS: Absolute Wood Finish is ready to use from the can, no thinning necessary.
RECOATING PROCEDURES FOR PREVIOUSLY SEALED OR FINISHED FLOORS:
1. All wax grease, soaps and soil must be removed thoroughly.
2. The floor should be cleaned well with PolyCare Wood Floor cleaner.
3. Screen with a 150-grit screen or maroon pad with gold strips between coats. Don’t over-sand between coats. Make sure floor is uniformly dull.
4. Vacuum up all dust possible then tack the floor with a clean water-dampened towel.
5. Apply MINIMUM of two coats of Absolute Wood Finish in the manner described above.
DRYING TIME: When applied according to directions, and in thin coats, Absolute Wood Finish should be dry to the touch in 5-6 hrs, and ready to recoat in 12 hours. Heavy finish application, high humidity or lack of airflow will extend drying times.
CLEAN-UP: Use paint thinner, mineral spirits or turpentine to clean brushes and applicators.
