Ireland is famous for the high quality of its Atlantic Salmon, and our featured Irish Organic Smoked Salmon is certainly no exception, with a rich full flavor, and fresh smooth finish. Far off the coast of Connemara, Ireland, the salmon are farmed in large low-density pens: only half a percent (0.5%) of the pen is taken up by the fish; the rest of the pen’s volume – 95.5%- is taken up by the roiling Atlantic Ocean.
The fish are fed a 100% certified organic feed that contains no antibiotics, hormones, or GMOs. The marine proteins and oils are derived from the trimmings of mackerel and herring that are bound for human consumption, thus avoiding the practice of over-fishing solely for the production of fish food.
Our Irish Organic salmon is accredited by Naturland (Germany), Bio Suisse (Switzerland), Qualite (France) and IOFGA (Ireland).
