How do I upgrade between the Fall 2011 version and the new Winter 2012 version?

The 1.5.0 version of SimUText is a major new release of the application. For users on the Windows platform, we strongly recommend that you bypass the automated upgrade offered by the 1.4.5 version prior to the Winter 2012 term.

If you have installed the 1.4.5 version of SimUText and need to continue with the new version for Winter 2012, do the following simple steps:

When prompted for the automated upgrade, click 'CANCEL'.
Use the Add/Remove Programs feature in Windows to uninstall version 1.4.5 from your machine.
Visit simutext.com with your browser.
Log in using your SimUText login (usually your student email address) and your SimUText password.
Use the link on simutext.com to download and then install the new 1.5.0 version of SimUText, available as of December 26, 2011.
