InkjetMall is the primary distributor of inks developed by Vermont PhotoInkjet, an ecologically responsible company that emphasizes ReUse rather than one-time use. All of the ink products that we sell can be reused - including the new pre-filled 220ml cartridges. But we do not sell ordinary inks. Vermont PhotoInkjet joins both Epson and HP in the ability to encapsulate pigment particles. As a result, both ConeColor and Piezography inks have a reputation for non-clogging and are able to stay unused in printers for as long as the OEM. This is a significant achievement for a small boutique ink company located in rural Vermont.
ConeColor is designed by digital-inkjet-pioneer Jon Cone to faithfully replicate the Epson Ultrachrome color gamut when used with Epson recommended workflow and ICC profiles. Rather than attempting an ink-by-ink match to the proprietary Epson pigments, Cone color matched through the Epson printer driver to arrive at balanced color. This unorthodox approach has produced the closest color match to the OEM by any third-party ink. Read for yourself what our customers are saying about ConeColor K2, K3 & K3 Vivid inks. Read more...
Piezography has been setting the black & white standard since 2000 with four shades of carbon black ink. While Epson and HP have now attempted to make b&w systems using three shades of black, Piezography uses seven shades of black ink to significantly increase smoothness, shadow and highlight detail, and depth. Piezography systems are combinations of inks and profiles printed through a special (but inexpensive) Mac/PC RIP called QuadTone RIP. The K7 profiles developed by Jon Cone are part of the QuadTone RIP package.
