About the InSure® FIT™ Collection Kit

The InSure® FIT™ Test Kit is only available from healthcare professionals. The kit contains everything you need to collect and submit test samples for analysis.
  • It's easy and convenient to perform the InSure® screening test for colorectal cancer in the privacy of your home.
  • There are no medicinal or dietary restrictions before or during taking the test.
  • Unlike other tests that require fecal collection and test card smears, the InSure® FIT™ requires only a simple brush and a dab onto the special test card.

Easy Sample Collection

  1. Your healthcare professional gives you an InSure® Test Kit to take home.
  2. Using one of the patented long handled blue brushes gently brush the surface of the stool.
  3. Collect the surrounding toilet water and dab the brush onto the test card and close the flap.
  4. Repeat steps two and three for your next bowel movement sample.
  5. Mail the test card to the lab or healthcare professional's office in the supplied envelope.
  6. Your healthcare professional will have your results.
You should complete and return the test as soon as possible after your doctor visit.

How it Works

InSure® is based on the detection of human hemoglobin (Hb) as an indicator of blood in the stool. The test detects the globin (protein) portion of the Hb molecule. Because globin does not survive passage through the upper gastrointestinal (g.i.) tract, any globin in the stool indicates that there is bleeding in the colon or rectum, the region where colorectal cancers originate.
